I. Décider quoi mesurer :
Si l'un des éléments suivants s'applique à vous, mesurez votre couverture existante :- La couverture doit être en bon état. L'usure naturelle est acceptable.
- La couverture ne s'est pas déformée, n'est pas gorgée d'eau ou n'a pas changé de forme depuis son achat.
- Vous êtes satisfait de la façon dont la couverture actuelle s'adapte.
- Vous n'avez pas de couverture existante.
- Votre couverture actuelle est déformée, gorgée d'eau ou a changé de forme depuis son achat.

II. Comment mesurer :
Arrondissez les mesures au demi-pouce ou au pouce le plus proche. Une couverture qui est 1 à 2 pouces trop grande fera l'affaire, mais une couverture trop petite diminuera l'isolation. Si vos mesures sont proches d'être parfaitement carrées (par exemple : 78,5" x 78"), il s'agit probablement d'un carré parfait.

- Demandez-vous : Y a-t-il quelque chose qui obstrue le chemin de l'ouverture et de la fermeture de la couverture et qui modifierait la charnière ? (ex : clôture)
